Fabric Town Tokyo | along the Yamanote Line | Travel Japan

Hello Traveler's Nippori is famous for it's fabric street, Nippori Chuo Dori and the Yanaka cemetery. Why a cemetery is a tourist attraction, I am not sure but the route was very interesting and many old buildings where scattered around the area. Nishi Nippori Tokyo | along the Yamanote Line | Travel Japan

Nishi-Nippori Station is located in the Arakawa Ward of Tokyo, this is a video in the series along the Yamanote line, Travel Japan Tips

The Arakawa Ward has many attractions but today I just show you the area around Nishi Nippori

The Yamanote line goes in a circle through Tokyo and it is the easiest to remember connecting major Tourist spots in Tokyo. Some stations are more attractive than others. Today, we take a look at Nishi Nippori station, which is basically an extension to the Nippori Station which I will do in my next video. At this travel hub many train & subway lines are crossing.

The famous writer and doctor Mori Ogai Memorial Museum is located at the border of Nishi Nippori and Nippori Station.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mori_%C5%8Cgai

In reality Nishi Nippori is not known for much but a few meter further it looks much more attractive, so let’s wait for next weeks episode. For today I like to show you the Nishi Nippori area and the small Nishi Nippori Park which has has information walls featuring the artist Hasegawa Settan and his 7 paintings during the Edo Period of this area. i

It is said, that during the Edo period you could see the mountains of Tsukuba und Nikko.  It was also rich in medicinal herbs and was visited by many people. This park was opened in 1961.

Apparently you could see diamond Fuji on the 30. January and 11th of October here, I am not sure if this is still possible.

I hope this video was of any interest of yours and I wish you a good day, see you in my next video.

Third best scenic landscape in Japan

Hello

My name is Martina. I am from North Germany and living in Japan since 2006 on and off. I report about my Life in Japan on this channel with a focus on travel destinations in #Japan. When I visit my home country Germany or it’s surrounding countries I vlog about it. If you are learning German, I do have a German channel about Life in Japan oder Leben in Japan which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBSNR9kl0o_S57fGRQY_sYg

Today I will talk about …

Did you ever asked yourself what Japanese think is the most scenic spot in Japan? This differs from the actually top sightseeing area tourists coming to visit in Japan. Today’s video is about Matsushima which belongs to the top three scenic spots in Japan according to https://tabicoffret.com/article/79674/index.html

Tabicoffure. How this got my attention? My husband is the planner for most of my travel.

The hotel we are staying in is run by an older couple with two dogs. During the 2011 Great Eastern Earthquake the hotel was damaged and since then the lift is not working. The repair cost are horrific high, 10,000,000¥. A sum the owner cannot afford. So we had to carry our luggage to the third floor, which was exhausting. Our room for three people was big enough with a beautiful view to the sea. We were happy. The bath is small but in Japan it is custom to use the public bath or onsen. Matsushima sees less visitors since the Covid-19 pandemic and hotels are not yet accustomed to regular visitors. We belong to the sporadic customers and there is no breakfast or dinner available in the hotel. So we explored the neighborhood and found this cute Sushi Bar in a residential house, run by a former Sushi Chef and his wife. An absolute insider Tip.

1. Matsushima

2. Miyashima

3. Amano Hashidate, Kyoto

How different is a Japanese Inn to a Western Inn

How different is a Japanese Inn to a Western Inn Wer are going back in history. An over 400 year old #Sukiya building, which was a retreat during the Edo Period from 1603-1868 for the feudal lords of the Aizu domain, will be the backdrop of my today's video. This historical building is our Japanese Inn and I will show you on how different is a Japanese Inn to a Western Inn. From accommodation, food and cleaning arrangements to souvenirs. As you might know, Onsen is big in Japan, especially sulfar onsen, this Ryokan has a 44C Fox Sulfur Onsen, a private onsen and a community onsen. The rooms are equipped with a toilet and a sink but no showers or baths. #Japan travel is exciting and I discover after such a long time every day new things and I love it. 00:00 Opening 00:34 Going to one of three onsen (sulfur onsen) 03:02 Ryokan or Japanese Inn room 03:28 Special garden light up / surprise 05:15 Kaiseki dinner Aizu style 09:40 Garden light up 10:06 Breakfast 10:13 Sukiya style building 10:40 Features of the path to the onsen 10:43 Community onsen 11:43 Features of the sukiya style building 13:13 Japanese souvenir 13:56 Historical photo of the ryokan 14:05 End 😁Don't be a stranger 🎠Subscribe to my channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/MartinaTakano 🎠Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/martinatakano/ 🎠Email: martinemler@gmail.com 🎠Twitter: https://twitter.com/martinatakano Music Song: Artlist Editing Software: DaVinci Resolve / imovie Camera: Sony alpha 7C & iPhone 12Pro Drone: DJI Mavic 2 Pro XOX Martina Takano German living in Japan vlog / blogger Travel Japan with me

Singapore vs Dubai which is better

Singapore vs Dubai which is better Today, I will talk about Singapore vs Dubai which is better? Let’s compare Singapore and Dubai’s similarities and differences. I believe these two cities are perfect for comparison. Both stamped out the ground from almost nothing within a short time of period with skyscrapers and architecture to complete with. Dubai is part Middle East and part Asia, Singapore is Asia. I lived in both cities for long term, in fact 3 years in Dubai and 9 years in Singapore. My husband was my master in Dubai, that was a very strange feeling. From the top of my head comes to my mind 1. religion, 2. language and 3.weather. In Singapore the main religion is Buddhism in which Dubai main religion is 76% Islam. Singapore has a tropical rainforest climate with no distinctive season beside the rainy season in which Dubai has subtropical-arid with hot summers and warm winters. The climate is categorized as desert climate. Winter in January and two very hot months of July and August. Singapore’s national or official language is Malay in which Dubai it is Arabic. However in both countries you get easily around with English, it is not necessary to learn the official language. That is very important to feel comfortable in a country. 4. Cost of housing, we lived in a two bedroom apartment in The Greens and later in a Villa in Mirdif. Compared to Singapore I would say Dubai is more expensive. However, there is always a way to get a cheaper accommodation. We paid annually in Dubai approx. 100,000 AED to 150,000 AED, divide this by 12, let’s say 10,000 AED per month. Our apartment had a swimming pool etc., in SG$ this is around 3,660.00 SG$. I paid for an apartment in Singapore with three bedrooms and a Maid room plus swimming pool and Gym less, I believe at the time it was 2,500 SG$. 😁Don't be a stranger 🎠Subscribe to my channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/MartinaTakano 🎠Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/martinatakano/ 🎠Email: martinemler@gmail.com 🎠Twitter: https://twitter.com/martinatakano Music Song: Artlist Editing Software: imovie Camera: Sony alpha 7C & iPhone 12Pro Map: Google Maps | Map Data ©2021 ZENRIN Japan Drone: DJI Mavic 2 Pro

Plugin Hybrid after 4 years (English Video)

Plugin Hybrid after 4 years We bought a Toyota Prius PHV Plugin Hybrid back in March 2017. Recently we started to wonder what the car is worth and what about battery performance in the next years to come. Therefore I review the price, re-selling price and battery performance and my overall experience.
